Information about MeetBot at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/meetingology. 11:34 <meetingology> 11:34 <meetingology> Available commands: action commands idea info link nick 11:34 <popey> Tickety boo. 11:34 <faenil> o/ 11:34 <JMulholland> hello! 11:34 <JMulholland> sorry, got a little held up 11:36 <popey> So, How are things with dekko. How far into the "two weeks" are we :) 11:36 <DanChapman> So... I've managed to get dekko snapped and running confined. Had some issues with file locations but all seems good with that now. Only issue is you can't read mail! Oxide throws up all over the place :-( 11:36 <popey> Aw. 11:37 <JMulholland> ack 11:38 <DanChapman> lol well the contacts stuff is pretty much done now. Just needs a few tweaks. Currently working on the setup wizard should have that done over the weekend then it's just a case of tying up the loose ends to get it ready. So atm it's looking on track 11:39 <faenil> popey: did you also read "just needs a few weeks"? :D 11:39 <popey> Awesome news! 11:39 <popey> heh 11:39 <DanChapman> read it as you wish :-P 11:39 <popey> hah 11:39 <JMulholland> X-D 11:39 <faenil> no I misread tweaks for weeks :D 11:40 <popey> As this is a significant change, since the last store upload, do you think we should (when ready) build a click and pass it around among our expert users? 11:40 <popey> Perhaps in the telegram apps group 11:40 <popey> rather than mail out to ubuntu-phone ? 11:42 <DanChapman> Yep sounds good to me. 11:43 <DanChapman> When should we start thinking about shipping fat-packages? I see more and more folks on g+ are trying out the desktop session 11:43 <popey> Right, I have a plan for that 11:43 <popey> I don't think we should do fat packages. 11:43 <popey> Instead, I'm going to upload amd64 versions of some of the core apps as separate apps 11:44 <popey> so, com.ubuntu.terminal is already in the store as armhf build. 11:44 <DanChapman> ok. So how would naming work just append the arch? 11:44 <popey> I'll upload com.ubuntu.terminal-amd64 as an amd64 build 11:44 <popey> yes 11:44 <popey> that way we don't force phone users to have giant binaries they never need 11:45 <DanChapman> that sounds alot better tbh. 11:45 <popey> Good. Super! 11:46 <popey> I'll do that today with some of the clicks I have. 11:46 <popey> Gonna be interesting for QA :) 11:47 <popey> I presume they're mostly interested in QAing armhf packages for supported platforms 11:47 * popey pokes davmor2 11:47 <popey> not sure they have the setups to test unity8 amd64 click packages 11:48 <DanChapman> :-D I presume that would still get filed as one ticket on the ci-train? 11:50 <popey> Good question. I will ask QA after the meeting what they want to do 11:50 <popey> I *suspect* they may want separate silos on ci-train 11:51 <DanChapman> ack. 11:51 <popey> so we can allow the armhf one through, so amd64 one doesn't block it 11:51 <popey> will let you know 11:51 <popey> Any other blockers we need to discuss? 11:51 <DanChapman> cheers. 11:51 <JMulholland> or anything andrea and I can help with? 11:53 <DanChapman> Nope no other blockers atm. 11:53 <davmor2> popey: what 11:54 <DanChapman> JMulholland, i have a list of UX questions/improvements but they can wait until i've got this release out the door. 11:55 <popey> davmor2: will chat in -ci-eng after meeting and loop in jibel 11:55 <JMulholland> righto Dan, just give us a shout if anything comes up :-) 11:55 <DanChapman> I sure will! :-D 11:55 <DanChapman> thanks 11:56 <popey> I had nothing else. 11:56 <faenil> cool 11:57 <JMulholland> great 12:02 <faenil> see you next week, I guess :) 12:03 <faenil> have a great day people! 12:03 <popey> o/ 12:03 <popey> #endmeeting
