13:02 <popey> #startmeeting Dekko meeting 13:02 <meetingology> Meeting started Thu Jan 8 13:02:54 2015 UTC. The chair is popey. Information about MeetBot at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/meetingology. 13:02 <meetingology> 13:02 <meetingology> Available commands: action commands idea info link nick 13:02 <popey> Hows you DanChapman ? 13:03 <DanChapman> good thanks popey, you? 13:03 <popey> very good 13:03 <popey> Just got a mail from you with a new click 13:03 <popey> is that newer than the one I tried the other day? 13:04 <DanChapman> popey: yeah that's slightly newer some fixups and a couple of dialogs saying "Coming soon.." for the parts that aren't quite working. 13:04 <popey> ah cool 13:04 * popey installs 13:05 <popey> What's currently being worked on? 13:05 <DanChapman> So i want to try and get a new click built at least once a week or maybe every couple of days, seeing as it's semi functional again and can get feedback on what's working or isn't etc 13:06 <DanChapman> So at the moment i'm doing online accounts but that is a real pain from the side that dekko was enabled from online accounts in the system settings. Picking that up in dekko keeps killing it for some reason 13:07 <popey> killing as in the app crashes? 13:07 <DanChapman> I believe boren is trying to get submission going again. 13:08 <popey> ok 13:09 <popey> So, sorry, I don't understand at what pint it dies..? 13:11 <DanChapman> :-) ok if i have dekko installed and create a new online account through the SystemSettings->Accounts ui there is a switch to give access to dekko. Now if that's turned on and dekko is opened we have to get that account setup 13:12 <popey> ok 13:13 <popey> And that isn't implemented yet? 13:14 <DanChapman> but getting it setup is the issue as we don't have all the info needed to create a new account on the dekko side, and it's crashing the imap connection queue because it's interrupting some signal somewhere. I'm just hitting this today so I havn't dug enough into it yet 13:14 <popey> Right, okay. 13:14 <popey> Thanks for explaining it. 13:15 <DanChapman> hey boren o/ 13:15 <popey> Oh, boren sneaked in! ☻ 13:15 <popey> hiya 13:15 <boren> hey 13:15 <popey> Are there any blockages with design? 13:15 <popey> I mean, you seem to have plenty to do right now, but are there any things blocking you we can help with? 13:17 <DanChapman> just the settings screen at the moment, and decide what will be classed as global settings and account specific settings. But i believe gventuri has some todo's n the design doc for that 13:18 <popey> yeah. 13:19 <DanChapman> boren have you got any design issue with the submission stuff? 13:20 <DanChapman> popey: also when would be a good time to start poking folks again about notifications? 13:21 <DanChapman> popey: and contacts access :-D 13:22 <popey> hm 13:22 <boren> DanChapman: Just need something on attachments. 13:23 <popey> Yeah. Where was notifications left? 13:26 <DanChapman> popey: they wern't going to do it before RTM and were undecided about if it would be OTA or next release 13:26 <popey> right 13:26 <popey> I'll ressurect that thread. 13:27 <DanChapman> coolio 13:27 <popey> how about contacts? 13:29 <popey> this was a security problem iirc 13:29 <boren> I don't have updates since last contact change. 13:30 <DanChapman> popey: I don't think a serious conversation ever got going, there bug 1378345 and bug 1378343 13:31 <DanChapman> https://bugs.launchpad.net/dekko/+bug/1378343 13:31 <DanChapman> https://bugs.launchpad.net/dekko/+bug/1378345 13:32 <popey> ah yes 13:32 <popey> ta 13:32 <popey> will kick that off too 13:32 <DanChapman> boren do you mean updates in the store? 13:32 <boren> DanChapman: No, updates on contact implementation 13:33 <DanChapman> boren: ahh right. I get you now :-p 13:37 <popey> So, a question about wider testing... 13:37 <popey> You have pinged me a click package. 13:37 <popey> Should we make those more widely available? 13:37 <popey> maybe have a beta build in the store as well as the stable one? 13:38 <boren> what we have now is barely Alpla. 13:38 <popey> hah 13:38 <DanChapman> popey: ^^ what boren said :-D 13:38 <popey> ok 13:38 <popey> ☻ 13:39 <popey> Maybe later then ㋛ 13:39 <DanChapman> popey: feel free to spread that click around some folks though and get them to break it 13:40 <popey> ok! 13:40 <popey> might want to add the revision number in the click build in future 13:40 <popey> so people know whether it's newer than the one they have 13:40 <popey> "0.4" doesn't really cover it ☻ 13:41 <DanChapman> patches welcome :-D 13:41 <DanChapman> seriously though i'll fix that :-) 13:42 <DanChapman> i presume the core apps use some cmake voodoo to find the bzr revno 13:42 <DanChapman> i'll just steal that 13:42 <popey> yes 13:42 <popey> yes, do that. so they're consistent 13:43 <popey> Excellent. 13:43 <DanChapman> sweet 13:43 <popey> Okay, anything else? 13:43 <DanChapman> nope i'm good for now. Shall continue the fight with online accounts :-/ 13:44 <boren> I am good 13:44 <popey> Do ask for help if you get stuck. 13:44 <popey> thanks guys! 13:45 <popey> #endmeeting
