Which unsurprisingly doesn't work. Haven't had time to look if there's an obvious mistake by me. 21:02 <popey> do ping kenvandine if you need help with that 21:03 <ajalkane> yeah I will 21:03 <popey> CarlosMazieri: did you get the emulator working on Mint? 21:03 <CarlosMazieri> No, it does not work 21:04 <CarlosMazieri> the ubuntu-runtime is a i386 package, so I have to have some i386 packages 21:05 <popey> ubuntu-runtime? 21:05 <CarlosMazieri> did you look at the logs I sent? does not it give some idea? 21:05 <popey> I dont have that package 21:05 <CarlosMazieri> I think that is installed automatcally as a dependency, 21:06 <ajalkane> apt-cache search ubuntu-runtime returns nothing for me 21:06 <popey> i think you followed the guide on dpm's blog which is outdated. 21:07 <popey> I would remove those packages and grab ubuntu-emulator from the link in the email 21:07 <popey> as you're effectively on 13.10, you should be able to get ubuntu-emulator from packages.ubuntu.com 21:07 <ajalkane> there's depends: ubuntu-emulator-runtime though 21:07 * popey looks 21:07 <popey> aha, thats right 21:08 <CarlosMazieri> the package is ubuntu-emulator-runtime_20140115-0148-0ubuntu1_i386.deb 21:08 <popey> yes, that's right 21:09 <popey> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ia32-libs/+bug/892799 21:09 <popey> are you using any xorg PPAs on Mint? 21:09 <CarlosMazieri> I do not think so, how do I check? 21:10 <popey> ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ 21:11 <ajalkane> or grep ppa `find /etc/apt/ -type f` 21:12 <CarlosMazieri> additional-repositories.list getdeb.list official-package-repositories.list ubuntu-sdk-team-ppa-saucy.list 21:12 <CarlosMazieri> this using ls 21:12 <popey> ok 21:12 <popey> so probably not 21:13 <popey> hmm, I'm not sure why this is failing. Can you fire a mail at the ubuntu-phone list and I'll point the guys who maintain the emulator at it? 21:13 <CarlosMazieri> OK 21:13 <popey> However.. probably by the time it's fixed the x86 image will be available :D 21:13 <popey> (which will be ridiculously fast) 21:14 <CarlosMazieri> ajalkane: did you have chance to use/test selection? 21:14 <ajalkane> CarlosMazieri: unfortunately not. But I will make use of it for Content-Hub once I get the basics working 21:16 <popey> ajalkane: is there any help you need with content-hub at the moment? 21:17 <ajalkane> popey: not really. I just got around to testing it, and it just didn't work. I have to go through both the importer code and file manager code to see if there's something obvious missing before bothering kenvandine 21:18 <popey> ok 21:19 <popey> hi iBelieve 21:19 <popey> I'm getting a tablet this week. looking forward to trying out the file manager on it 21:19 <iBelieve> hi poppy, sorry I'm late. It's a really busy time as a project for work is wrapping up 21:19 <iBelieve> ** popey 21:19 <popey> No worries iBelieve 21:19 <CarlosMazieri> ajalake: iBelieve: I will suggest changing File Manager navigation to selection approach instead of using names for some actions (all actions over selected items) 21:21 <ajalkane> CarlosMazieri: could you file a bug with an outline of the basic idea of it? Too easy to forget otherwise 21:21 <CarlosMazieri> Yes, I will, it is because Trash may have different items with same name since they were removed from different locations. 21:22 <ajalkane> Right 21:25 <ajalkane> iBelieve: what's the status of your better-desktop-support branch? 21:25 <iBelieve> CarlosMazieri: don't items with the same name get a number appended at the end or something like that? I don't remember. 21:27 <CarlosMazieri> No In trash, I will send some pictures I collected from Nautilus/Dolphin and others 21:27 <CarlosMazieri> Trash is a view of different locations 21:28 <iBelieve> Ah, ok 21:30 <popey> Ok. Anything else we need to discuss for now? 21:31 <ajalkane> Can't think of anything 21:31 <CarlosMazieri> No from my side 21:31 <popey> ok. CarlosMazieri do send that mail to ubuntu-phone so we can get the emulator working for you... 21:32 <popey> and ajalkane ping kenvandine for content-hub issues 21:32 <popey> Thanks chaps. 21:33 <popey> #endmeeting
