stages <reply> The Ubuntu Kernel gets updated in stages. If you have the updated kernel, but do not have the corresponding restricted modules, you may be leaving yourself with no X when you reboot. Please be as specific as possible: if you see a black screen, say so, if you see a shell prompt, say so, if you see an !error message, say so - Also, most !CLI commands don't print anything when they succeed, but only when they fail.
