lenovobug intel-spi intelspi 17.10.1 <reply> The original release of Ubuntu 17.10 contained a bug that makes firmware memory read-only. See https://pad.lv/1734147 for more info. This bug has been fixed in 17.10's repositories (so upgrades are safe) and new ISOs have been released (look for 17.10.1 in the filename). Added by dax

3rdparty <reply> Packages contained in 3rd party repositories are not included in Ubuntu for a reason. Whether this be poor packaging standards, bugs or malicious authors. You should trust the maintainers of these repositories before using them. See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=297814 for consequences. Added by ompaul

foocoin bitcoin dogecoin cgminer <reply> Ubuntu's repositories do not include clients for most cryptocurrencies. You will need to use a !PPA or !compile from source to get them. Since neither of these options is officially supported, consider asking your cryptocurrency's IRC channel (see !alis) for help. Added by rww

cadence <reply> Cadence is an application for managing Jack in KXStudio and its repositories. Due to the nature of its intrusive configuration, it causes compatibility issues with Ubuntu's audio configuration, particularly !ubuntustudio-controls. For this reason, adding the KXStudio repos to any Ubuntu install is highly discouraged. Added by hggdh
