16:27 <popey> grey
16:27 <popey> hows you?
16:27 <ahayzen> very very hot!
16:27 <popey> turn off the pi
16:27 <popey> that'll help
16:27 <popey> a tiny tiny bit
16:27 <ahayzen> but probably like only 20-24°C
16:27 <ahayzen> haha lol
16:28 <ahayzen> stop compiling things on my mako would help lol
16:28 <popey> hah
16:28 <popey> I have a mako which now has battery bulge
16:28 <popey> I should take a photo
16:28 <ahayzen> uhoh
16:28 <popey> complete smashed the back as it bulged out
16:28 <ahayzen> like jamesh
16:28 <popey> he has one too?
16:28 <ahayzen> that had that issue...
16:28 * ahayzen searchs for photo
16:28 <popey> I'll take a pic later
16:29 <popey> it's funny
16:29 <popey> Right, so weather :)
16:29 <ahayzen> meanwhile, we nearly have the new weather api landed!
16:29 <popey> it's in the queue

16:29 <popey> behind a few other things
16:29 <ahayzen> \o/ \o/ \o/
16:29 <ahayzen> https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JamesHenstridge/posts/Z3anWheFxBg
16:30 <ahayzen> there was another of it in the phone at one point :')
16:30 <ahayzen> so what is next on the priority...
16:30 <popey> zoiks
16:30 <ahayzen> uc 1.3 stuff (page header, bottom edge), convergence, alerts, maps ?
16:30 <popey> #1 converge, #2 maps
16:30 <popey> ?
16:31 <ahayzen> https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JamesHenstridge/posts/S4m5YeqADA3
16:31 <ahayzen> oh victor and me had an idea of alerts...
16:31 <ahayzen> like instead of using your location
16:31 <ahayzen> have a list of 'areas' which then can use specific ones for eu/usa etc like metoffice for UK ...
16:31 <ahayzen> then you tick which ones you want to 'subscribe' to
16:32 <ahayzen> so it is then a user choice that they are giving away that area as a 'location' and isn't very specific
16:32 <ahayzen> also maybe easier to implement
16:32 <ahayzen> as then all we have todo is just watch the rss feed/whatever for those alerts that have been subscribed to
16:32 <popey> hm
16:33 <popey> if you think that's going to be granular enough?
16:33 <ahayzen> idk
16:33 <popey> state by state, country by country?
16:33 <popey> me either
16:33 <ahayzen> maybe as a like v1
16:33 <popey> yeah
16:33 <popey> I guess some in massive states might be like "wtf, I don't care!"
16:33 <ahayzen> like uk wide wouldn't be too bad
16:33 <popey> "That's like 2000 miles away"
16:33 <popey> yeah
16:33 <ahayzen> but the main point is the user can just subscribe optionally to them
16:34 <popey> right
16:34 <popey> opt in
16:34 <popey> win
16:34 <ahayzen> then late on when we figure out how todo it properly, we could then add 'auto location alerts; or something
16:34 <ahayzen> which does use your real location
16:34 <ahayzen> Victor wonders if there is a carrier API that android has/is using
16:35 <popey> carrier api?
16:35 <popey> i dont think we have such a thing
16:35 <ahayzen> yeah like as the carrier knows where you are
16:35 <ahayzen> and then maybe they have something that can send an alert
16:35 <ahayzen> but we don't know, need to look at how they do it in android
16:36 <ahayzen> probably doesn't exist, just a thought :-)
16:36 <popey> RSS -> Location -> Carrier help, in that order
16:36 <popey> with months between each one ㋛
16:36 <ahayzen> haha yeah
16:36 <ahayzen> we were just hypothetically thinking how they may do it in android
16:37 <ahayzen> and then we wondered if alerts has higher priority than maps ?
16:37 <ahayzen> so uc1.3, convergence, alerts, maps ?
16:37 <ahayzen> but we've gotta do the first two anyway first, so they can be done later :-)
16:38 <popey> yes
16:38 <ahayzen> oh and i'll get onto this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-weather-app/+bug/1583169
16:38 <ahayzen> is quite simple but will need translation
16:39 <ahayzen> oh and the TWC logo :-)
16:39 <ahayzen> slowly catching up with stuff :-)
16:40 <popey> oh yes, we were going to add that little text
16:40 <ahayzen> otherwise i think that is it ?
16:40 <popey> i remember
16:40 <popey> yeah, i think so.
16:40 <ahayzen> \o/
16:42 <popey> \o/
16:42 <popey> Thanks ahayzen !
16:42 <ahayzen> thanks popey, have a good weekend :-)
16:42 <popey> you too :)
