11:32 <popey> How we doing?
11:32 <DanChapman> Doing good thanks. :-) yourself?
11:33 <JMulholland> well here too thanks :)
11:33 <popey> super
11:34 <popey> So, dekko by default now OTA-10 out!
11:34 <faenil> o/
11:34 <JMulholland> woohoo!
11:35 <faenil> congrats, important milestone :)
11:35 <popey> sudden influx of new bugs?
11:35 <popey> https://bugs.launchpad.net/dekko/+bugs?orderby=-id&start=0
11:35 <popey> we have a fair number already of course :)
11:41 * popey pokes DanChapman :)
11:43 * faenil hands popey a stick
11:43 * davmor2 takes the stick from popey, faenil don't arm him he's dangerous enough unarmed
11:43 <JMulholland> ahaha
11:44 <faenil> ahah
11:46 <JMulholland> well in other news from me…
11:46 <JMulholland> later today I’ll be seinding along material around search/filtering that one of our designer put together. The designs are for scopes but they’ve come up with a really nice schema that I think would work very well for dekko to. I should get some material I can pass along in the next couple of hours.
11:46 <DanChapman> JMulholland, I'm not sure how display that Dekko is in an offline state for whatever reason. As it stands you can still read/copy/move/delete etc when offline and changes will sync when network becomes available. I think the user needs to know it's offline so they don't expect any changes on the server. But using popups for every action sounds rather annoying
11:46 <JMulholland> good news on that front Dan!
11:46 <DanChapman> oh aweome i look forward to looking through that :-)
11:46 <JMulholland> one of the designers working on SDK material is currently working on error states and error handling
11:47 <JMulholland> ‘soft’ offline modes are included in that work (i.e. offline but some content can still be viewed/ managed)
11:47 <JMulholland> I’ll be sure to loop you in as plans firm up
11:47 <DanChapman> \o/ awesome! that sounds ideal
11:47 <JMulholland> (very likely to be a non-onvasive ‘banner’ or very similar, in such cases)
11:47 <JMulholland> *invasive
11:48 <DanChapman> cool :-)
11:50 <DanChapman> popey, what's the process now for getting an update into the store? I know we've briefly spoke about it before, but it evades my mind.
11:50 <popey> http://wiki.ubuntu.com/citrain -> bookmark that
11:50 <DanChapman> There's the blue label fixes that need to get out
11:50 * DanChapman looks
11:50 <popey> it redirects you - we login to that and create an entry
11:51 <popey> I can give you a sample for other apps
11:51 <popey> once created (I can create it, or you can, don't mind)
11:51 <popey> A bot picks it up and makes a trello card at...
11:51 <popey> https://trello.com/b/AE3swczu/qa-testing-requests-for-questions-ping-ubuntu-qa-on-ubuntu-ci-eng
11:51 <popey> there
11:51 <popey> which jibel (who manages the team) will allocate to a QA person
11:52 <popey> they test, and approve (or not) - you can see the status of the card in trello
11:52 <DanChapman> Oh nice! ok yeah a sample for another app would be handy.
11:52 <popey> an example:- https://trello.com/c/mONgLPXI/3024-1223-weatherapp-popey
11:53 <popey> https://requests.ci-train.ubuntu.com/#/ticket/1223 is the citrain entry behind that trello card
11:53 <popey> that's the most recent one I made
11:53 <popey> let me know when you plan to add a citrain entry and I can walk you through it
11:53 <popey> first thing is make sure you can login to https://requests.ci-train.ubuntu.com
11:54 <DanChapman> that would be great thanks. And once it's approved do I just upload it to the store?
11:55 <popey> yup
11:55 <popey> and if rejected, negotiate with QA :)
11:55 <popey> sometimes they may reject something, but allow it through if there's a promise to fix before next update
11:55 <popey> especially if it's not a regression
11:55 <DanChapman> ok
11:55 <popey> But I don't want to teach you how to bypass QA, just mentioning that "reject" doesn't always mean "none shall pass"
11:56 <popey> and I know davmor2 is watching 😃
11:56 <DanChapman> :-D
11:57 <davmor2> I wasn't till you highlighted me
11:58 <DanChapman> Oh i added a couple of questions to the user research doc. They're probably aimed at you JMulholland so if you get a sec at some point :-)
11:59 <JMulholland> OK DanChapman, I’ll try and take a look ASAP
11:59 <DanChapman> super, thanks!
12:01 <JMulholland> Nothing else from my end for now.
12:01 <JMulholland> popey, DanChapman, faenil?
12:01 <popey> Nothing from me
12:01 <DanChapman> I don't have anything else atm.
12:02 <popey> Thanks chaps
12:02 <faenil> not from me, Scrollbars are undergoing visual review (for the nth time :D)
12:02 <JMulholland> OK, got to dash. Give me a shout if anything else comes up!
12:02 <faenil> but Dekko will get the benefits without issues, so, nothing to declare :)
12:02 <JMulholland> thanks guys
12:02 <DanChapman> Cheers guys
12:02 <DanChapman> faenil, hah :-D cool!
12:03 <faenil> don't expect something big, but working on it uncovered other uitk bugs, so...yeah it's taking some time :)
12:03 <faenil> take care people o/
12:03 <DanChapman> o/
12:04 <popey> o/
