14:35 <popey> hi gang66 nik90
14:35 <popey> how are you guys?
14:35 <nik90> hi :)
14:35 <popey> (I am also on a hangout meeting, sorry, meeting clash)
14:35 <popey> but you have my attention, I'm ignoring the other guys ;)
14:35 <nik90> hi gang66
14:36 <gang66> So we are very close at finalizing clock/world clock refactoring
14:36 <gang66> Hello nik90 :-)
14:36 <nik90> gang66: Do you want to mention the stuff you have been working for this week?
14:36 <popey> excellent.
14:36 <nik90> a.k.a timezone fixes
14:37 <gang66> Unfortunately we cannot verify Daylight Saving Changing
14:37 <popey> oh?
14:37 <gang66> Until last Sunday of October :-)
14:37 <popey> Doesn't the phone automagically do that anyway?
14:37 <popey> haha
14:37 <gang66> Yes they do
14:38 <gang66> But we have bug in the clock regarding these issues'
14:38 <JMulholland> Hi all! Sorry, last meeting ran over
14:38 <popey> do you have the bug handy?
14:38 <nik90> gang66: couldn't you just change the phone time to the last sunday of october since this rule must be already in tz-data?
14:38 <nik90> JMulholland: Hi :D
14:39 <JMulholland> So we had planned to share the in-progress visual designs today, but unfortunately the visual designer working on them has been out sick. Will have to be next week I suppose
14:39 <gang66> I tried once , but I wasn't work for me
14:39 <gang66> I will keep trying
14:39 <nik90> JMulholland: ah :/ .. no worries..next week it is.
14:39 <popey> yeah, sudo date -s "Sat Sep 31 23:50:00 BST 2015"
14:39 <popey> that should set the date on the phone
14:40 <popey> I have used that before
14:40 <gang66> Great
14:40 <gang66> Thanks
14:40 <gang66> I will verify that and write manual tests for that
14:40 <popey> awesome
14:41 <nik90> gang66 is working on this MP https://code.launchpad.net/~gang65/ubuntu-clock-app/ubuntu-clock-mainclock-runtime-timezone-fix/+merge/271033
14:41 <nik90> we will be doing lots of regression testing for a few days since the change is at the heart of the clock app.
14:42 <nik90> Also I heard from balloons that the clock-app manual test suite are/will be shipped in the checkbox-touch app.
14:43 <popey> yeah, good news.
14:43 <nik90> so easy testing via the checkbox-touch or desktop app in a nice intuitive UI way.
14:43 <popey> I believe it's being tested with a limited set of people first.
14:43 <nik90> true
14:44 <gang66> Do you know what other application (exluding Clock app) is using "unit tests"?
14:44 <nik90> reminders-app
14:44 <nik90> unity8
14:45 <gang66> I need to take a look at CMake files
14:45 <gang66> :-)
14:46 <nik90> nvr mind the reminders-app unit test folder is empty. But I could swear I remember them adding it.
14:46 <nik90> I must be dreaming
14:46 <nik90> gang66: btw, I would recommend *not* disabling the world-city unit tests *until* we have the autopilot tests up and running in the MP I linked above.
14:47 <nik90> you need to stop sneaking stuff like that in :P
14:47 <gang66> :-)
14:47 <gang66> ok
14:47 <nik90> I understand it does cause failures occasionally in jenkins, but I would rather have some kind of failing tests than nothing at all.
14:48 <gang66> I have added that issue to my TODO
14:48 <gang66> And I will create ticket for that
14:48 <nik90> gang66: ok. If you do want to disable those tests, create a new MR and we can get balloons's opionion on it.
14:49 <nik90> since it is better that he is aware of test related changes.
14:49 <nik90> balloons: hey, can you help us get to our first passing AP test?
14:49 <gang66> I plan to fix that
14:49 <nik90> gang66: the first passing AP test?
14:49 <gang66> So we could leave it as enabled
14:50 <balloons> hey. Yea, I pushed the change to make it possible to fix the tests, but no I didn't get too much further on making any of them work again
14:51 <nik90> balloons: no worries, I understand you're busy with the ubunut-community-testing project.
14:54 <nik90> Not much to report from my end. Been busy with university stuff. I will be working with gang66 on reviewing and testing the worldclock refactoring that he mentioned.
14:55 <popey> Ok.
14:55 <popey> No blockers or other issues?
14:55 <gang66> I think after that we will have rock solid clock app :-)
14:55 <JMulholland> awesome
14:55 <popey> \o/
14:55 <gang66> No everything goes smooth..
14:56 <nik90> No blockers that we know of..we're solely focusing on bug-fixing and AP tests atm.
14:56 <gang66> I wondering how will looks like new Clock design
14:56 <nik90> JMulholland: Did you manage to sneak any screenshots of the new design :P?
14:57 <nik90> we're imagining flying dragons and fire themes ;)
14:57 <gang66> I hope the animations at the start will be disabled :-)
14:57 <nik90> gang66: how come?
14:58 <popey> haha
14:58 <davmor2> Here be Dragons
14:59 * nik90 looks around for sabdfl
15:00 <popey> Ok, are we done?
15:01 <nik90> yes
15:01 <popey> \o/
15:01 <popey> Thanks guys!
15:01 <JMulholland> cool, have a great weekend all!
