13:00 <JMulholland> hi popey & kunal
13:01 <popey> Hey!
13:01 <kunal> Hi
13:01 <popey> so JMulholland has any design work moved forward for calendar?
13:02 <JMulholland> Well, there’s the wireframes I shared last time we all spoke (not sure if Kunal has had time to look at them?) and the news that Jouni will be taking a look at the visual design for us as soon as he finishes his current project
13:03 <JMulholland> https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UZEKYB1JS0CO0gEiPu701rhZSHimJYq6EgeLNhxG_1I/edit?usp=sharing
13:03 <kunal> I just went through it brieftly
13:03 <JMulholland> cool, of you have any comments or think anything is missing, just let me know! :)
13:04 <popey> thats the dekko spec?
13:04 <popey> oh, just the title is wrong
13:05 <JMulholland> argh, copy + paste error from the template. appologies :P
13:05 <popey> do you know when jouni is due to finish that project?
13:06 <JMulholland> probably week after next he says (after next weeks design sprint)
13:06 <popey> ok
13:07 <kunal> sure, but it looks good to me from whatever I have seen
13:07 <popey> yeah, same :)
13:07 <kunal> JMulholland, can you have look at slide 9
13:07 <JMulholland> great, style-wise the visual design team have changed things up a bit again (as reflected in Jouni’s visual designs for dekko) but functionaly I think we should be in good shape with the wireframes
13:08 * JMulholland looks
13:08 <JMulholland> “Event types”?
13:08 <kunal> for Accepted Events: you mentioned "solid blue"
13:08 <JMulholland> yes
13:09 <kunal> do you mean fixed color ? or its just example
13:09 <JMulholland> I meant as it currently is implemented, so its the blue colour we’re all very familiar with
13:09 <kunal> also there are two Declined Events there
13:10 <kunal> JMulholland, that blue color comes form Calendar setting
13:10 <kunal> which we can change
13:11 <kunal> to other color
13:11 <JMulholland> Yea, that’s what I thought Kunal, which is why all the others are based on an accepted event
13:11 <JMulholland> i.e. declined is same with strikethrough text
13:11 <JMulholland> past event is same but partly transparant
13:11 <kunal> ok, so basically we will just invert color , whatever is coming from calendar ?
13:12 <JMulholland> unresponded is inverted boreder/fill colour
13:12 <JMulholland> etc
13:12 <JMulholland> yes
13:12 <kunal> great, thanks
13:13 <JMulholland> Although we might get some recommendations from visual design on what colours we use (they have been working on defining an updated colour pallete for all apps/ the SDK)
13:13 <JMulholland> ^ FYI
13:13 <popey> kunal: could you take a look at the merges from gary wang? He's made a few.
13:13 <kunal> ok, popey , will have a look
13:13 <kunal> I also raised few, can you have look ?
13:14 <kunal> JMulholland, on slide 7
13:14 <kunal> I noticed you removed Agenda from menu ?
13:14 <kunal> How we can reach to Agenda view in mobile on portrait mode ?
13:16 <JMulholland> So what’s been suggested is that by default (when nothing has been selected) the agenda is shown on the right. Selectig a calendar entry for a date on the left replaces the agenda with the infor for that event.
13:16 <JMulholland> deselecting a calendar entry on the left (clicking white space) shows the agenda on the right again
13:17 <popey> kunal: yup!
13:17 <popey> will take a look a bit later today
13:17 <kunal> ok, that's for landscape mode right ?
13:17 <mihir> Hey popey
13:17 <JMulholland> so the left panel with dates is like the navigation area, and the right panel becomes the info display/edit/create area
13:17 <JMulholland> oh i see what you mean
13:18 <popey> hey mihir
13:18 <JMulholland> portrait view would have it in the nav menu, just like on a phone
13:18 <kunal> ok, thank for clarification
13:18 <kunal> and one last thing
13:18 <JMulholland> fire away :)
13:18 <kunal> slide 5
13:18 <kunal> we don't show evens on Year view
13:19 <kunal> but snaps are suggesting to show events on year view as well
13:19 <kunal> is that so ?
13:19 <JMulholland> aha, good point
13:19 <JMulholland> will have arethink and update the wireframes
13:20 <kunal> ok, great, thanks :)
13:20 <kunal> I think I am good now, I will study more in weekend and leave comments if I have any
13:21 <popey> nice one.
13:21 <JMulholland> feel free to ping me when Im around if you have any thoughts or suggestions too kunal. Thanks! :)
13:22 <kunal> JMulholland, popey , I was planning to work on below bugs
13:22 <kunal> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-calendar-app/+bug/1475747
13:22 <kunal> can you have look and let me know your opinion
13:24 <JMulholland> I think all of the ‘expected behaviours’ listed there seem correct/ logical
13:26 <kunal> but in that case, we don't need that intermediate selection
13:26 <kunal> first click should be enough ?
13:26 <popey> that would be great kunal
13:26 <popey> yes, agreed
13:26 <JMulholland> i think so
13:26 <kunal> but I am fine both ways,
13:27 <kunal> but I thought we added that step to avoid unintended selection
13:27 <JMulholland> I’ll have a think/experiment with the current implementation a bit and then add comments to the bug
13:28 <kunal> that would be nice
13:28 <kunal> there is also another one, but for visual design
13:28 <kunal> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-calendar-app/+bug/1475976
13:29 <JMulholland> I’ll be sure to flag it when visual design work gets going!
13:30 <JMulholland> looks like its already assigned to the right person :)
13:30 <popey> heh
13:30 <JMulholland> and have assigned 1475747 to myself for follow-up
13:31 <kunal> ok,
13:32 <kunal> also, can you have look on this one
13:32 <kunal> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-calendar-app/+bug/1473682
13:34 <popey> yeah, that is strange when scrolling back and forth, I'd agree
13:35 <kunal> so,
13:36 <kunal> should be reposition, previous week to week last day
13:36 <kunal> that way if we are scrolling to previous week,
13:36 <kunal> use has to scroll through whole week ?
13:37 <kunal> and for next week, leave as it is ?
13:37 <JMulholland> If I’ve understood your recommendation in the bug report correctly, I’m inclined to agree
13:37 <JMulholland> Have assigned the bug to myself to follouw up
13:37 <kunal> ok, then once you have something , leave comment there, I will try to fix it
13:38 <JMulholland> will do!
13:40 <popey> Ok, anything else?
13:41 <kunal> No, I am done.
13:42 <popey> super!
13:42 <popey> Thanks guys
