13:02 <popey> How are you going JoeyChan ?
13:03 <JoeyChan> Yeah~ very good
13:03 <JoeyChan> I heard that MeiZu will sell ubuntu phone very soon
13:03 <popey> So I hear!
13:04 <JoeyChan> Maybe in 18th May
13:04 <popey> That would be great! To have another device out there!
13:05 <JoeyChan> ლ(╹◡╹ლ)
13:05 <JoeyChan> but sad that there still lack of some popular services
13:05 <JoeyChan> one IM service & one payment service
13:06 <popey> I think we can consider this a "Version 1" phone in China for us.
13:06 <popey> Certainly a lot of work to do.
13:07 <popey> But good to get a device in the market.
13:08 <JoeyChan> Yeah~
13:08 <popey> So I wanted to talk about shorts.
13:08 <popey> :)
13:09 <JoeyChan> anyway that is a good news
13:09 <popey> yeah
13:09 <JoeyChan> ok
13:09 <JoeyChan> go on
13:09 <popey> We have shorts, shorts-cn and now roman has another branch / app
13:09 <JoeyChan> yes
13:09 <popey> This seems to dilute the app somewhat
13:09 <popey> Can we please bring these three together to one branch/ project
13:10 <JoeyChan> David suggested the same
13:10 <JoeyChan> And of course I totally agree
13:10 <JoeyChan> three apps will confuse users
13:13 <JoeyChan> But I hope someone can make decision which new features can be combine into official Shorts
13:14 <popey> I can help with that :)
13:14 <JoeyChan> cool
13:16 <popey> I'll reply to roman's mail.
13:17 <JoeyChan>13:18 <JoeyChan> so ... anything else to discuss ?
13:19 <popey> oh hai!
13:20 <popey> mrqtros: hows it going?
13:20 <JoeyChan> nice to c Roman is here~
13:20 <mrqtros> popey hello! I am fine, and you? :)
13:20 <mrqtros> popey sry I am late)
13:20 <mrqtros> Hi Joey
13:21 <mrqtros> What is the summary?
13:21 <JoeyChan> <popey> This seems to dilute the app somewhat
13:21 <JoeyChan> <popey> Can we please bring these three together to one branch/ project
13:21 <JoeyChan> that's the point
13:21 <popey> no probs mrqtros :)
13:23 <mrqtros> Three? What do you mean?
13:23 <JoeyChan> official one, mine, and yours
13:23 <mrqtros> "Main" shorts, your "cn" version and mine?
13:23 <mrqtros> That's called teamwork :D
13:24 <mrqtros> Overmind :)
13:24 <JoeyChan> :P
13:25 <popey> :3;2~)
13:25 <popey> er
13:25 <popey> :)
13:26 <popey> So what I propose is this:-
13:26 <JoeyChan> popey: If u pick someone who can make decision on Shorts
13:26 <popey> keep lp:shorts-app/trunk
13:27 <JoeyChan> tell us :)
13:27 <popey> create lp:shorts-app/reboot
13:27 <JoeyChan> OK
13:27 <popey> and push your changes to reboot. we can then build a click from that and review the changes.
13:29 <mrqtros> W8 a moment, lp:shorts-app/trunk - already my reboot
13:29 <JoeyChan> will do ~
13:29 <mrqtros> Our main is lp:ubuntu-rssreader-app
13:29 <JoeyChan> haha
13:30 <JoeyChan> u r rright
13:30 <popey> sorry, duh!
13:30 <JoeyChan> official one is ubuntu-rssreader-app
13:30 <popey> my bad
13:30 <mrqtros> shorts-app is better btw
13:30 * popey gets more coffee
13:30 <mrqtros> Name is better I mean)
13:31 <JoeyChan> anyway, keep the official name
13:31 <JoeyChan> :P
13:31 <popey> moving things around and renaming things is quite a hassle
13:31 <popey> so yes, keep lp:ubuntu-rssreader-app/trunk and make lp:ubuntu-rssreader-app/reboot
13:31 <popey> sorry for the confusion
13:32 <JoeyChan> that's fine, of course we still using the current project hosting
13:33 <popey> It makes life a lot easier for things like the bots, permissions, and other support scripts if we don't have to change them
13:33 <popey> It's quite a headache to do that :)
13:33 <mrqtros> popey can we use qmake?
13:33 <mrqtros> you can also put old cmake files near
13:34 <mrqtros> for automatic builds
13:34 <mrqtros> but from development standpoint qmake is much better
13:34 <popey> I understand. I hear that from other people too.
13:34 <JoeyChan> yep u can try not to break the current structure and add qmake file
13:34 <popey> I'm not sure on the limitations of qmake - whether that causes us problems elsewhere, I'll find out.
13:35 <popey> yeah, if you can use both, maybe?
13:35 <popey> sounds like it could break if you update one and not the other though
13:35 <JoeyChan> yep, that's a prob
13:35 <mrqtros> +1 to both, less pain to everyone
13:36 <mrqtros> No no, currently we already have few (!) cmake files
13:36 <mrqtros> For autobuilds
13:36 <JoeyChan> cool, pls try
13:36 <mrqtros> They are very "high-level", you can't break them via adding file or smth like that
13:37 <mrqtros> Anyway it's secondary problem)
13:38 <mrqtros> Once we will have much better app - we will find the way to configure it
13:38 <mrqtros> I like it more already - caching is really great thing, all images are awailable at offline
13:39 <mrqtros> Loading takes much less time
13:40 <JoeyChan> (・ェ-)
13:41 <popey> nice!
13:46 <JoeyChan> anything else to discuss ?
13:48 <popey> Not from me.
13:48 <JoeyChan> Roman ?
13:50 <mrqtros> No
13:50 <mrqtros> Sry for afk)
13:50 <popey> np
13:50 <popey> have a great weekend
