The chair is popey. Information about MeetBot at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/meetingology. 12:01 12:01 Available commands: action commands idea info link nick 12:01 Hey guys, how are you doing? 12:02 I'm doing great thanks. You recovered now? 12:02 doing good thanks :) 12:03 Hey JMulholland 12:03 heya JMulholland 12:03 mostly 12:03 still a bit woozy 12:03 hey DanChapman and popey :) 12:03 not well popey? 12:03 or just a heavy night? ;) 12:03 wasn't, better now. 12:03 hah, i wish 12:04 glad to hear it 12:04 DanChapman: so OTA 3.5 went out earlier in the week. 12:04 OTA 4 is due ~28th March I believe 12:04 and will be vivid based. FYI 12:05 Awesome, i can't release any updates till we hit vivid now anyway. 12:05 I've made some great improvements to the message list views performance. It flies along now but it depends on non broken chroots which utopic ones basically suck for installing additional deps 12:07 popey: you're lagging a couple of months behind :D 12:07 hah 12:07 sorry, yes, 28 may 12:07 duh 12:07 brain not functional 12:08 :) 12:08 HAve you heard anything more on the polld notifications I was going to get hold of bret next week as it's still unclear if polld is going to do it or they provide a hook to run a dekko binary 12:09 I'm kind of in limbo about starting anything 12:09 No, We should get an update from bret. 12:09 Want me to follow up on that mail thread? 12:09 (feel free to if you'd rather) 12:10 popey: if you want to, i don't mind either way :-) 12:10 ok 12:10 also there is this https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1378343 12:11 I'm not sure how that is going to work as dekko can't use contacts like calendar does. 12:13 hmm 12:15 JMulholland: I have one for you as well https://bugs.launchpad.net/dekko/+bug/1454308 can we drop the text in the multi-select menu actions and just use the icons? 12:15 :-) 12:15 taking a look 12:16 gventuri previously said it needed to stay consistent with other apps but the strings don't fit in certain locales. IMO the icons are clear enough 12:17 Hm, that doesnt seem right to me 12:17 perhaps design has moved on since then, but in the vast majority of other apps labels arent used 12:17 e.g. multi select in the contacts app: just icons, no labels 12:18 ok then so i can just drop the labels then. 12:18 so yea, I’d say dropping the labels for the multi-select menu should be fine 12:18 awesome 12:23 Sorry about that laptop overheated 12:24 ok. 12:25 So anything else that's blocking you or you need help with DanChapman ? 12:26 I'd like to get started on figuring out message threading. I feel the current UX design is a little weird in how it opens a new view to display the items in the thread and then tap again to open and individual message. It just seems a bit weird with the extra msg list step 12:27 Is that a commonly requested feature? 12:28 I've had quite a few now yeah. 12:29 threads, pgp/gpg/smime & notifications are the 3 top ones I hear 12:30 we’ve actually been asked to take a look at the old Dekko Specs as part of the covergence design effort here at the office Dan 12:30 Both myself and a visual designer (Jouni) 12:31 Ok cool, i'll leave that in your hands then :-D 12:31 I’ll put that item on the list foe things we should look to helping you improve with design support 12:31 Thanks! 12:32 popey: forgot to say I have no blockers 12:32 Ok. 12:32 np, Jouni and I will be doing a kickoff meeting to dicuss it tomorrow and I’ll get you invited in on any new material we start working on 12:33 excellent, look forward to it. 12:33 fundamentaly we’re going to change little of all the good stuff already in there, just a funtional UX refresg up and visual refreh (as far as I know at this stage) 12:33 *refresh 12:33 with a mind to a convergent client 12:34 Excellent. 12:34 \o/ 12:34 :D 12:34 :) 12:35 Shall we wrap up for this week then? i'll just keep knocking down the backlog 12:35 Ok, anything else? 12:35 not for me 12:36 \o/ 12:36 thanks guys 12:36 #endmeeting Generated by MeetBot 0.1.5 (http://wiki.ubuntu.com/meetingology)
