Information about MeetBot at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/meetingology. 13:01 13:01 Available commands: action commands idea info link nick 13:01 How are you guys? 13:02 Doing good thanks 13:02 Great 13:02 Super 13:03 i see gventuri is on his way 13:03 ... 13:03 :) 13:03 So it seems people were keen to be using dekko, going by the response on the list. 13:03 hi gventuri 13:04 popey: hi 13:04 Yeah and we've had a couple of bug reports already. No show stoppers yet:-D 13:04 hey gventuri 13:04 DanChapman: Hi! 13:04 https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/presentation/d/1ygx0wrRKyFy7W_3qEYlflrBOlfBfHp9w41sOqTkXT4A/edit?usp=drive_web 13:04 putting that link there in case we need it. 13:05 DanChapman: boren do you have any specific outstanding design questions for gventuri ? 13:05 popey: cheers 13:05 gventuri: i sent a mail to the phone list with details of how to install latest dekko on phone. 13:05 you may want to take a look. 13:05 https://lists.launchpad.net/ubuntu-phone/msg11006.html 13:06 yes, that's great 13:06 popey: I'll hve a look tomorrow. Today is mental 13:07 ok 13:07 gventuri: I will be in the office tomorrow, will you? 13:07 so i've added one to the document about handling attachments atm we are just apssing them off to content-hub. But should we provide an option to display it if it's a mimetype we know we can display i.e plaintext and derivatives and images 13:07 popey: yes, to day I'm in the office 13:08 DanChapman: what did you have in mind? Show a preview in a separate view? 13:08 popey: I meant tomorrow 13:08 I agree that internally displaying simple formats would be desireable, and faster (probably?) than spawning off another app. 13:08 DanChapman: or show it inline> 13:08 ? 13:09 be nice to be able to "detach" an attachment though, such as a confirmation/ticket attachment that you want to keep 13:09 indeed 13:09 gventuri yes it would probably just use a new basic view, showing stuff inline makes things a bit tricky. So that you can preview it before deciding you want to move it somewhere else through content hub 13:10 DanChapman: why not 13:10 done! 13:10 next.... 13:10 :) 13:10 DanChapman: you could use a new view with a standard header 13:10 DanChapman: for pics, you could use the one from camera roll, that auto-hides I believe 13:11 DanChapman: for other MIMEs, a standard header would probably be better 13:11 gventuri: ooo i'll take a look at that one. And use the document name as the title? 13:11 or just "AttachmentViewer" 13:11 DanChapman: document title 13:12 sure 13:12 DanChapman: fall back ti filename if not available 13:12 DanChapman: you might have to change the default text size if chars > X 13:13 DanChapman: it would be great if we had dynamic type in the SDK 13:13 Yes that would be a nice thing to have 13:16 I asked tiheum t join 13:16 hi 13:16 tiheum: do you have anything we can show them? a sneak preview of the visual design 13:16 Ok and another thing at the moment the outgoing server settings are tied to an an account. Would it be better to tie them to a sender identity, so that a single account can have multiple outgoing servers to choose or an outgoing server from a different account configured. At the moment it's tied to the outgoing server from account setup 13:16 hey tiheum o/ 13:17 yeah, i agree DanChapman 13:17 In the past I have used many incoming accounts but one outgoing 13:17 popey: yeah i do the same in thunderbird. 13:18 gventuri: sure, what's the best way? Google drive? 13:18 DanChapman: I used to do the same in GMail. I have not been using that feature for a while 13:18 drive works. 13:18 tiheum: why not 13:18 ti 13:20 right and i presume being able to select a "default" outgoing server would be good as well 13:20 but that would be done on the sender identity level and not account/global 13:21 DanChapman: we need to look into that 13:21 gventuri: ok then, do you want me to add this to the UX doc? 13:22 DanChapman: we could indeed have a default outgoing server 13:22 DanChapman: maybe we could add a tick to add an outgoing server to a list of defaults 13:23 DanChapman: then at account selection when entering the details you could simply select from a list 13:23 DanChapman: makes sense? 13:24 here's a few design explorations: https://drive.google.com/drive/#folders/0BzbnWoHmYF3afkZ1NGdfX1dydWt3c3plNG5haF9nUU9TUlRwd2V6T3czNVRZa0NvWkFXVms 13:24 gventuri, yes that makes sense. 13:25 tiheum: im getting the folder no longer exists with that link 13:26 hmm, works here. 13:26 its not shared to DanChapman tiheum 13:26 DanChapman: do you have a canonical eamil address? 13:26 nope danchapman1819@gmail.com 13:26 yeah, I think the folder it's 'Canonical only' 13:26 can you also share with boren, whats your google account boren ? 13:26 bobo1993324@gmail.com 13:27 thanks 13:27 DanChapman: popey: do you guys have any other questions for me? 13:27 wow, those are very pretty! 13:27 DanChapman, boren: it might work now 13:27 gventuri no they were my two concerns atm 13:27 DanChapman: thanks 13:28 DanChapman: ping me if you have more 13:28 thanks gventuri 13:28 gventuri: will do, thanks!! 13:28 oo very nice tiheum 13:29 thanks 13:29 i like the blue header how 13:29 rm how 13:30 tiheum what would the red message corner triangle mean? 13:30 important 13:30 the prev screenshot shows [important] next to the avatar 13:30 ahh yes i see now 13:30 ^this 13:31 not very obvious but we were not keen of adding another icon 13:32 looks great!! :-D 13:34 Yeah. 13:35 Ok, so we're overrun a bit. DanChapman boren do you have anything else for tiheum or anything specific to discuss? 13:36 popey: no not at the moment look forward to seeing some more from tiheum. 13:36 Great. 13:36 Not from me, beautiful work, tiheum 13:37 thank you 13:37 Ok, lets wrap! 13:37 #endmeeting
