13:01 <popey> Hows it going boren DanChapman ?
13:03 <DanChapman> popey: hey there. It's going good thanks
13:03 <DanChapman> hey boren
13:03 <boren> Great, popey and DanChapman
13:04 <DanChapman> boren, so i've made some progress on the webview issue. The resize actions are fixed it's just the final height resize causes the view to go black. I'm going to ping osomon about that this afternoon
13:05 <DanChapman> it seems to happen on the final contentHeight change which comes after loadProgress is 100
13:06 <boren> DanChapman: it's great that it worked out.
13:07 <boren> DanChapman: How did you fix the resize problem?
13:07 <DanChapman> so popey the launch day is soon approaching :-/ I want to try and have a click out for then. We decided that new features like combined inbox and online accounts could wait till after that
13:07 <popey> well...
13:07 <popey> we have 6th feb as when the insiders will get their devices
13:07 <popey> I'm told you have a little longer till the public launch
13:08 <DanChapman> \o/
13:08 <DanChapman> :-D
13:08 <popey> :)
13:08 <popey> What's the highest priority right now?
13:10 <DanChapman> popey: user settings, messageview, composer (but that's nearly there), start offline, and application state handling i.e managing conenctions when app goes into background/suspended.
13:10 <DanChapman> that's my list anyway
13:10 <DanChapman> boren's probably got some more
13:10 <popey> ok
13:11 <boren> DanChapman: I think you have all of the work left there.
13:12 <popey> message view and composer seem to be most user-facing ?
13:13 <DanChapman> Yes and user settings screens, most of the settings backend stuff is there to be wired up to
13:13 <popey> so we have two weeks between now and launch (to insiders).
13:14 <popey> We should prioritise the list.
13:15 <DanChapman> popey: i agree, there is also the triaged ones here to consider https://launchpad.net/dekko/+milestone/0.4
13:18 <DanChapman> so should we start with the user facing tasks first and get them out the way?
13:19 <popey> sorry for the delay, my pc just rebooted
13:20 <DanChapman> :-)
13:20 <popey> if it's not something you're blocked on elsewhere, yes.
13:20 <popey> if you're in-flight with features, then perhaps best to finish them first if you're not blocked.
13:22 <DanChapman> right ok... so boren do yo uwant to carry on with the composer and message view as your on a role with them :-) and i'll get onto osomon this afternoon about the webview and i'll send you a solution once i have one
13:23 <boren> DanChapman: yes, that works.
13:23 <DanChapman> I'm in progress for the user settigns at the moment so i'll finish that up and get on to start offline etc
13:24 <popey> Awesome.
13:24 <popey> Also, we have an "Ubuntu Global Jam" coming up the weekend of Feb 6-8
13:24 <popey> https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGlobalJam
13:24 <DanChapman> Do you think i nteh setup wizard we should try and map mailboxes to there roles i.e Drafts sent etc. at the moment we ask the user to manually enter the Sent folder which unless you know the full imap mailboxname your screwed
13:25 <popey> I thought perhaps we could get more people testing the app and filing bugs during that weekend.
13:25 <popey> DanChapman: who is that question for?
13:25 <DanChapman> popey: that sounds like a great idea.
13:25 <DanChapman> both of you
13:25 <DanChapman> :-D
13:25 <popey> :)
13:26 <popey> yeah, I wouldn't want to expect too much technical detail from the user
13:26 <boren> DanChapman: make folder selector?
13:28 <DanChapman> sorry router cut out
13:28 <popey> heh
13:29 <DanChapman> boren yes so in user settings i thought we could have something similar to thunderbird but we could try and detect the folders during the setup but then they can be manually changed if it's not right
13:30 <boren> OK
13:31 <DanChapman> that's only if we have time though :-)
13:33 <DanChapman> popey: do you think it is our resonsibility to show a useful message for gmail 2 factor auth, or should we just expect the user should know what to do as they enabled it? Just thinking about tiheum being lost the other day with it
13:34 <popey> how do you mean "full message"?
13:35 <popey> doesn't google 2fa force you to use a web view thing to enter the code?
13:35 <popey> oh, so you mean, we shouldn't support it, but point people at the "one time password" page?
13:35 <popey> hmm, do other email clients have that smart about them?
13:35 <popey> I don't think they do.
13:36 <DanChapman> popey: through online accounts yes but for a normal dekko account you have to create an app specific password in google account and paste it into dekko. Right pain in the chuff IMO
13:36 <popey> We could have a little piece of text which gives them a reminder I suppose if you get a 403 or whatever the error is when authenticating to google
13:36 <popey> yeah, it's a pain, but thats the price of security :)
13:37 <DanChapman> well gmail do return a url link to a google answers page should we just make that clickable to open in the browser app
13:37 <DanChapman> it looks like Application-specific password required: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?answer=185833 (Failure)"
13:37 <popey> yeah, that would be handy
13:38 <popey> especially as gmail is so popular
13:39 <DanChapman> cool just make that selectable then. Done!
13:39 <popey> \o/
13:39 <popey> is there anything we could land and push to the store before then, maybe a milestone next thursday, and then another the week after?
13:41 <DanChapman> popey: yeah I think we can if the user settings can be accessed and start offline works
13:42 <popey> Great!
13:42 <popey> Any other blockers you need help with?
13:43 <DanChapman> nope not atm, i'll ping you if we hit any
13:44 <boren> No here
13:44 <DanChapman> boren do you think it would be easy enough to add a download progress dialog to the fileattachmentdownload process?
13:45 <boren> DanChapman, I will investigate. I think that is what we need.
13:46 <popey> How are we doing with translations?
13:46 <popey> https://translations.launchpad.net/dekko hmm
13:46 <popey> Are all strings translatable?
13:46 <DanChapman> popey: yeah there all wrapped in i18n.tr
13:47 <DanChapman> Norwegians and ukranians will be ok. hmmm that don't look right. What happened to all the imported trojita translations. ??
13:47 <DanChapman> i'll look into that
13:48 <popey> Getting Spainish ones would be good :)
13:50 <popey> With the bq phone being available across Europe, all European languages would be great of course, but as BQ is a Spanish company, it's good to have that as a priority.
13:50 <DanChapman> popey: ok i'll see what happened to the ones we had.
13:50 <popey> nice one
13:51 <popey> Ok, I didn't have anything else
13:52 <DanChapman> me neither
13:52 <DanChapman> shall we wrap up then
13:52 <boren> no me
13:52 <popey> Great, have a great weekend guys!
