13:03 <popey> how are you guys?
13:04 <boren> Good
13:04 <DanChapman> excited!! :-)
13:04 <DanChapman> and yourself?
13:04 <popey>13:04 <popey> Good!
13:05 <popey> I've just put dekko in the 16:00 friday slot at UOS
13:05 <popey> http://summit.ubuntu.com/uos-1411/2014-11-14/display?
13:05 <DanChapman> Excellent :-) Is that slot still ok for you boren?
13:05 <popey> Hoping we'll have some design things to discuss there.
13:06 <popey> If not we can use it to look at features and other non-design things
13:06 <boren> DanChapman: yes
13:06 <DanChapman> Indeed there is loads we can discuss (non-design wise)
13:07 <popey> we should start populating http://pad.ubuntu.com/uos-1411-dekko-planning with things to discuss then ☻
13:08 <boren> Authentication?
13:09 <popey> ahh, you need to be in a specific group, hang on, I'll add you
13:09 <DanChapman> Sounds like a good idea.
13:09 <popey> https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-etherpad is the grou[
13:09 <popey> *group
13:10 <popey> boren: you need to join that team
13:10 <popey> i thought i could add you but I can't.
13:10 <boren> Proposed
13:11 <popey> we need more admins of that group so people don't have to wait
13:11 <DanChapman> hmm i don't remember joining that group.
13:11 <DanChapman> ahhh ubuntumembers group gets access
13:12 <popey> well, the doc is empty right now ㋛
13:13 <DanChapman> I'll add some stuff to it over the next couple of days, hopefully boren will have access by then
13:13 <popey> yeah, I'll keep poking people
13:13 <popey> but yes, any time you think of stuff to discuss, stick it in the etherpad then we can talk about it at the session
13:14 <DanChapman> So some good news i have gmail online accounts working for imap \o/ it's a bit flaky at the moment. And SMTP looks as though it will be a bit trickier
13:15 <popey> ooh!
13:15 <popey> That _is_ good news.
13:15 <popey> SMTP is always a funny one, I know some people prefer to send via some other host.
13:15 <popey> but most "normals" will use whatever their email provider gives them.
13:16 <popey> We know most of the details though, right? We can assume "smtp.gmail.com"? I assume it's the auth bit that's the issue?
13:18 <DanChapman> Yeah well it's more a restriction of the current smtp lib. It's not what one would call a "robust" smtp library more like an smtp script.
13:19 <popey> k
13:20 <DanChapman> so boren's been making some progress on removing webkit :-) https://code.launchpad.net/~bobo-324/dekko/removeQtWebkit/+merge/240350
13:22 <boren> One tricky thing about it is that we cannot expand webview to its content height.
13:22 <popey> Oh, excellent.
13:23 <boren> It's OK, we can rearrange things so that message view is not flickable then
13:25 <DanChapman> It's a good time to be finding out what we can and can't do with oxide though, as we will be able give the designers better info around it
13:26 <popey> +1
13:26 <popey> also file bugs in oxide if appropriate
13:26 <popey> as oxide itself isn't set in stone
13:28 <DanChapman> boren I see that oxide has a "rootFrame" object I wonder if that has any height related attached properties
13:29 <boren> DanChapman: Thanks, I will try that later.
13:30 <DanChapman> you may have to import com.canonical.Oxide 1.0 instead of Ubuntu.Web to get it
13:31 <DanChapman> Could you both take a look on trello. I tried to come up with a workflow for once we have some designs. Could you take a look and comment/ edit it as you see fit. It's in the "Info" column
13:31 <popey> https://trello.com/b/73rFyG6n/ubuntu-email-client
13:32 <DanChapman> you beat me
13:32 <DanChapman> :-)
13:32 <popey>13:32 * DanChapman discovered trello cards support markdown. It's pretty neat
13:33 <popey> Looks great.
13:33 <popey> Yeah, I didn't know that either!
13:35 <boren> The Trello looks good
13:36 <popey> Ok. Anything else to discuss?
13:36 <DanChapman> I havn't got anything atm. :-D
13:37 <popey> It feels like now is the quiet before the storm
13:37 <boren> No from here
13:37 <DanChapman> popey: yeah it does doesn't it. I reckon it's going to get rather busy :-p
13:38 <popey> Keep the clicks coming and let us know if there's any testing you need doing, or if anyone in canonical needs a poke.
13:39 <popey> Also, if there's anyone you think should be in the session next week, we can try to get some of their time.
13:39 <popey> (chris coulson from oxide might be useful)
13:40 <popey> boren: looks like you have access to the etherpad now?
13:40 <boren> Yes
13:40 <popey> Excellent!
13:40 <DanChapman> Okey doke.
13:40 <popey> Ok guys, have a great week, see you next week!
