18:07 <balloons> ohh good questions. I won't pretend to speak for the SDK team, but I believe tabs are still around and used and will continue to do so. The change is merely how you select and switch tabs

18:08 <m-b-o> it went not that well, because the weather app still needs to handle tabs dynamically

18:09 <balloons> I guess we'll see what design has in store. I'm curious

18:12 <m-b-o> because rebuilding the tabs has some bad effects, when you pop a page from the pagestack
18:12 <m-b-o> seems like a race condition
18:12 <m-b-o> the backbutton stays and will not get replaced by the sandwich
18:14 <balloons> yes, its not historically worked well. I think there's still an old bug on this, let me dig it up and see what has happened on it recently
