16:28 <popey> have you seen people.canonical.com/~dpm/core-apps-sponsoring/ ?
16:28 <popey> handy for seeing outstanding reviews.
16:28 <nik90> yeah yesterday
16:29 <popey> ok, cool.
16:29 <popey> no clock merges outstanding. well done ㋛
16:29 <popey> Ok, so we're going to have this "stable" 14.04 image today
16:30 <nik90> true, dpm asked me to either reject or finish them
16:30 <popey> then no more images over the next week or so, unless we find something that we can SRU into the distro and make an ad-hoc image.
16:30 <popey> then U (14.10) will open and new images will be built on that, the 14.04 image will not be updated, other than by click packages from the store
16:31 <popey> the reason I'm mentioning that is because of the dependency clock has on other components like UDS and indicator
16:31 <popey> will might not get updated in 14.04 image
16:31 <popey> an SRU would need to be filed, which has an incubation period of 7 days before packages that are approved for SRU can hit the main archive
16:32 <nik90> true there is nothing I can do about 14.04 because of EDS and the indicator
16:32 <popey> right.
16:32 <nik90> I don't know..I don't think it is worth the effort to SRU the fixes..
16:32 <popey> Sadly I'm inclined to agree.
16:32 <popey> So lets move forward.
16:33 <popey> I will (for a week or so) have a device on stable 14.04 which I can test updates on.
16:33 <popey> once 14.10 starts building a devel-proposed image I can test on that too, on my other phone
16:33 <nik90> ok
16:33 <nik90> I will be focussing on 14.10..I am guessing we need to set the sdk-framework versions accordingly
16:33 <popey> it may be that at some point you'll need to switch framework to the ubuntu-sdk-14.10-dev one if there's anything specific to the U platform you use/need
16:34 <popey> yes, but only if you need to
16:34 <nik90> ok
16:34 <popey> don't forget that as soon as you do that, and we put it in the store, you stop giving updates to the 14.04 user
16:34 <popey> I would expect the same to happen this time as happened in 13.10
16:34 <popey> we start pushing people to move from stable to devel
16:35 <nik90> at this point the only update I want to give to users is the alarms which anyway wont be updated to 14.04
16:35 <nik90> but yeah I will think about it and then decide carefully
16:35 <popey> ok.
16:36 <popey> On another note we have a meeting with canonical design next week, we have a new head of apps design who recently started
16:36 <nik90> the one mistake I do by modifying the AP test to not check the alarm status and hell goes free :P
16:36 <popey> we need to get him bootstrapped with what's needed ini terms of design & the community. will update everyone once we know more.
16:36 <nik90> awesome
16:36 <popey> hehe
16:37 <nik90> will the designs for the core apps from the community design team?
16:37 <nik90> still come from*
16:37 <popey> i expect collaboration
16:37 <popey> for example lucas worked with dani from canonical on the reminders design
16:37 <popey> something like that
16:37 <nik90> ok
16:38 <popey> I have been tracking blockers in all the core apps, and keeping an eye on trunks to keep the store up to date..
16:38 <popey> i periodically test and upload to the store
16:39 <popey> but if you have a revision you would like published, just ping me and I'll sort it
16:39 <nik90> ok
16:39 <nik90> I have been keeping track of the SDK and Platform MPs which concern alarms
16:40 <popey> ok, good.
16:41 <popey> Anything I can help with?
16:42 <nik90> nope. I will try sorting through the bugs in the coming weeks.
16:43 <popey> super.
16:43 <popey> ok, shall we wrap?
16:43 <nik90> yeah...lets enjoy 14.04 release day :)
16:43 <nik90> s/enjoy/celebrate
16:43 <popey> :D
