14:03 <DanChapman> :-D
14:03 <DanChapman> hey boren
14:03 <popey> Ok, so last week we had some items to do on the wiki...
14:04 <popey> https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/CoreApps/EmailClient
14:04 <popey> I'll start with mine as I'm top of the list..
14:04 <popey> for "Define milestones" see https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AofbdH5hl5CbdE1rRmpyd0lWNE1zYXUwc01SNW4yVHc&usp=drive_web#gid=0
14:04 <popey> I'm trying to prioritise the items on that list, and then define the milestones based on that.
14:05 <popey> 1 being highest priority
14:05 <popey> assuming green ones are already done to some degree
14:05 <popey> Input welcome!
14:06 * popey sorts by priority
14:06 * DanChapman is reading it now
14:07 <DanChapman> i think messageview needs to be one of the top priorities aswell
14:08 <popey> oh, did i miss that
14:08 <popey> which line?
14:09 <gcollura> DanChapman, have you finished with those settings pages? The ComposePage is almost done, the c++ backend is 70% done
14:09 <DanChapman> popey well atm it's broken anyway so it's not possible to read the message body
14:09 <DanChapman> popey i can't see it on that list
14:09 <popey> ok, it should be at the top, I'll add it
14:10 <popey> thanks.
14:10 <DanChapman> gcollura i have some skeleton's sitting here. BUt i'm confused on the approach we are taking atm. mzanetti did you get a chance to look into integrating online accounts?
14:12 <boren> popey, Currently we cannot display mailboxes in subfolders. Is that on the list?
14:13 <popey> boren: by "mailboxes in subfolders" do you mean, folders in mailboxes?
14:13 <popey> or am I misunderstanding?
14:14 <boren> popey: ah, yes
14:14 <popey> we dont have one specifically for generic folders, not that i see
14:14 <popey> we have one for offline/cached and one for specific drafts/sent folders
14:14 <popey> but not a general one
14:15 <popey> how would that be different from viewing inbox or drafts/sent?
14:15 <DanChapman> so for now do we just create a basic smtp settings page and look to integrate online accounts at a later time.
14:15 <popey> would we not get that automagically when we can view sent items folder?
14:15 <popey> DanChapman: yes
14:15 * DanChapman would love some designs to work from
14:15 <popey> online accounts will likely be a chunky bit of work
14:16 <popey> i think a basic settings page containing the server / user / password / security type (TLS/SSL) / port would be sufficient?
14:16 <boren> popey: viewing inbox drafts/sent in the same
14:17 <DanChapman> popey sure i have that already part done
14:18 <DanChapman> gcollura: could I have a link to your branch?
14:18 <gcollura> DanChapman, I haven't pushed the code yet, I may do it tomorrow
14:18 <DanChapman> gcollura: ok cool :-)
14:19 <gcollura> DanChapman, I'll pm you as soon as I do it
14:19 <DanChapman> that would be great thanks
14:20 <popey> boren: how is the message list view coming?
14:20 <boren> For messagePage, I almost finished the Listview style.
14:21 <boren> Icons not uploaded because it requires another commit with license information.
14:21 <boren> I am reaching out to the designer(Andrea Del Salto) to solve the icon issue.
14:21 <boren> The backend for attachment flag is built by jkt.
14:21 <boren> As for sorting mesage by date descendingly, I have written the code for it. Will gradually commit those changed.
14:21 * DanChapman really likes the message list view
14:21 <boren> jkt said the preview is hard and not efficient. I think we can postpone that for now. He also doesn't like the idea of an archive button.
14:21 <boren> I have no idea about how to implement the pager header design. I thought that might will be implemented by the SDK soon.
14:21 <gcollura> DanChapman, however I can tell you that I'm creating a class that works similarly to imapAccess
14:21 <DanChapman> gcollura: perfect!
14:22 <popey> boren: jkt doesn't like "archive" because it's specific to Gmail?
14:23 <boren> popey: I didn't dig much into that
14:23 <popey> ok
14:24 <boren> popey. I can ask him next time
14:24 <popey> ok. i can understand it
14:24 <popey> It might end up needing to have provider-specific controls
14:24 <popey> but thats a long way off ☻
14:25 <popey> DanChapman: is the imap/smtp UI stuff pushed ?
14:25 <DanChapman> imap yes/ smtp no.
14:26 <popey> could I ask you to update the wiki page status table? https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/CoreApps/EmailClient
14:27 <DanChapman> popey sure
14:27 <popey> Thanks.
14:28 <popey> gcollura: when could we expect the compose page to be done?
14:29 <gcollura> popey, this weekend I think
14:29 <popey> awesome.
14:30 <DanChapman> I will make a start on the message view over the weekend while gcolurra finishes up his work on the smtp parts
14:32 <DanChapman> guys would it be an idea to setup a trello board or something rather than a wiki page for following workitems
14:33 <popey> yes!
14:33 <popey> I would much prefer that
14:34 <popey> want me to set it up?
14:35 <DanChapman> popey yes definately
14:35 <popey> ok, will do
14:35 <popey> will move the items from the doc into it too, make it easier to all track in one place.
14:37 <popey> I know jono is keen to get a build in a PPA so people can test this stuff out, and I think dholbach was working on some packaging, but I don't think that's finished yet
14:37 <DanChapman> popey: yes i am working on those fixes atm i have 3 commits waiting on review to fix those issues so that shouldn't be long now
14:38 <popey> ok, great.
14:38 <DanChapman> i'll ping dholbach to see if he can test it once they have merged
14:38 <popey> he's afk today, but back monday
14:38 <DanChapman> ack
14:39 <popey> Anything else to discuss boren gcollura DanChapman ?
14:39 <boren> Nothing for Now, I will just keep working on MessageListPage for the next week.
14:40 <DanChapman> I think we could really do with some more designs. Is there anyone you could give a gentle prod popey?
14:40 <gcollura> nothing for me at the moment too
14:40 <popey> Certainly can. Which specifically are priority?
14:42 <DanChapman> settings pages, Mailbox view, gcollura do you need any designs for the composer view?
14:43 <boren> DanChapman :Is there a Mailbox view?
14:43 <gcollura> DanChapman, if possible that would be useful
14:43 <boren> <DanChapman>: I thought it is just a popup
14:44 <DanChapman> popey ^^ composerview
14:44 <mzanetti> hey guys. Sorry. had to run away an hour ago
14:44 <DanChapman> hey mzanetti :-)
14:44 <popey> hey
14:46 <DanChapman> boren yes this view http://ubuntuone.com/3b5b72QeURfw3PVHc1PVam
14:46 <popey> mzanetti: there was a question for you earlier about online accounts
14:47 <mzanetti> right. no... Sorry... Qt 5.2 + reminders app took all my time this week (which still isn't solved btw)
14:48 <boren> DanChapman: So this is just a quick switch? https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-hWBpSM_0Jns/UyyGDr2vW8I/AAAAAAAAf0I/JpwRn6WHb14/w478-h515-no/navigate.png
14:49 <popey> boren: i see that as a quick-list - most popular folders rather than a full folder list
14:50 <DanChapman> boren: ^^ i agree with popey
14:53 <popey> I'll ask for a design update, and something which is more substantial than the quick-select view above.
14:53 <popey> We're (quite a bit) over time, I think we're done for today?
14:53 <DanChapman> popey sure :-)
14:53 <boren> yes, thank you
14:54 <popey> Great! Thanks guys!
