19:43 <mhall119> so how are things going with doc viewer? I saw that you've added PDF support
19:43 <Chocanto> Things are good :)
19:43 <Chocanto> Yes, but I have to make a lot of things before make it available on launchpad
19:44 <mhall119> have you switched to using the new Arguments component instead of a C++ wrapper?
19:45 <Chocanto> mhall119: I saw it yesterday :)
19:45 <Chocanto> mhall119: I'm working on it
19:45 <mhall119> ah, ok, I thought Kaleo had told you about it already
19:45 <mhall119> yeah, it would certainly help them to get some real-world use, and report back any bugs you encounter
19:46 <Chocanto> mhall119: Ok, I will test it :)
19:46 <mhall119> where is the new Poppler stuff, in a PPA or in saucy's archives?
19:47 <Chocanto> mhall119: Nowhere, and this is what I wanted to talk to you ^^'
19:47 <Chocanto> As you know I worked with the poppler team to add the QT5 support, but currently it's only available in the dev branch.
19:48 <mhall119> ok, does it have debian packaging yet?
19:49 <Chocanto> But to create the declarative5-poppler-qml-plugin package I need the libpoppler-qt5 package. I talked today with the Debian maintener of all Poppler binaries packages and he is waiting poppler 0.24 to be released before allowing the libpoppler-qt5 package
19:50 <mhall119> is 0.24 what's currently in the deb branch?
19:50 <mhall119> dev branch
19:50 <Chocanto> yes
19:51 <Chocanto> They want to release it before the end of july.. but it's not sur
19:51 <mhall119> ok, and do you know when upstream Poppler plans on releasing that as 0.24?
19:51 <mhall119> heh, already answered
19:51 <Chocanto> ahah yes :)
19:51 <mhall119> is tsdgeos the debian maintainer?
19:51 <Chocanto> no, it's pinotree
19:52 <mhall119> ok, we can probably get a pre-release package put into a PPA for now, and replace it with the upstream release when it's out
19:52 <mhall119> I'll talk to tsdgeos about doing that
19:52 <Chocanto> Yes I thought about it
19:52 <Chocanto> but I wanted to see with you before
19:52 <Chocanto> ok thank you :)
19:52 <mhall119> np
19:52 <mhall119> anything else that's blocking you right now?
19:52 <Chocanto> we can put it into the PPA of ubuntu core apps ?
19:53 <Chocanto> temporary
19:53 <mhall119> either the core apps PPA, or the SDK PPA
19:53 <Chocanto> ok nice !
19:53 <Chocanto> hum yes, for the zooming of images with the pinch gesture, I don't have a functionnal ubuntu phone in my hands for the moment so I can't test it
19:54 <mhall119> Chocanto: ok, I can test stuff on a Nexus 7 if you want
19:54 <mhall119> I don't know if there's a way to emulate pinch on a desktop
19:54 <Chocanto> mhall119: I searched for it but didn't find one, I will try to search again before asking you :)
19:54 <popey> in theory with a magic trackpad + oif
19:55 <mhall119> popey: requiring a magic trackpad
19:55 <Chocanto> magic trackpad.. :/
19:55 * popey has one in a drawer
19:55 <popey> if someone needs stuff testing, i can try
19:56 <mhall119> Chocanto: feel free to ask me anytime, it won't bother me
19:56 <popey> ditto
19:56 <Chocanto> Ok, thank you mhall119 :)
19:56 <Chocanto> thank you also popey
19:56 <Chocanto> But for pdf it's not very blocking me, i'm working on it but I can't release it for everyone: )
19:57 <mhall119> Chocanto: that's okay, we'll make it releasable soon
19:57 <mhall119> anyting else you wanted to talk about today?
19:57 <mhall119> balloons: want to give a testing update?
19:58 <Chocanto> I think not :) The application is in a good way to be dogfoodable before the end of july :)
19:58 <balloons> sure.. so two bits of news.. I'm continuing to recruit folks for testing help. And I've updated the ubuntu sdk emulator in my +junk branch as the official version still has not landed in the toolkit
19:59 <Chocanto> balloons: Ok so I need to update the emulator for docviewer I guess
20:02 <balloons> Chocanto, yea, as usual any problems let me know.. Hopefully it works out well for you. As far as tests go, I wanted to highlight the docviewer next, but I'm not sure what tests could be written at this point
20:02 <mhall119> anything else before we wrap up?
20:02 <balloons> I'd like to point people towards this to help out, but I'm not sure it's ready
20:03 <Chocanto> balloons: Yes of course :) Hum.. Yes, we are also blocked with pdf tests.. :/
20:03 <balloons> ok, so time should fix that I suppose. keep the blockers up to date
20:03 <balloons> that's it for me ;-)
20:04 <Chocanto> balloons: When the 2 packages we need will be available in a PPA and my branch merged I will let you know and you will be able to ask people to help out :)
20:04 <balloons> Chocanto, perfect, do let me know
20:04 <Chocanto> Nice ! :)
20:05 <Chocanto> I think evrything is ok mhall119 :)
20:05 <mhall119> Chocanto: great to hear!
