15:33 <jbicha> o/
15:33 <Laney> jbicha: you want to be in the list?
15:34 <jbicha> yes
15:34 <Laney> ok
15:34 <Laney> andyrock, dgadomski, kenvandine, jbicha, Laney, oSoMoN, seb128 (out?), tkamppeter, robert_ancell (out)
15:34 <oSoMoN> ☺/
15:35 <Laney> hmm
15:35 <Laney> quiet?
15:35 <Laney> let's see
15:35 <Laney> #topic andyrock
15:36 <Laney> ok
15:36 <Laney> #topic dgadomski
15:36 <dgadomski> hey
15:36 <dgadomski> nothing to share today, was involved with non-desktop issues and sprint preparation (on a team sprint next week)
15:36 <dgadomski> eof
15:37 <Laney> ok, thanks, have a nice sprint!
15:37 <Laney> #topic kenvandine
15:37 <kenvandine> * I started working on dropping patches from packages that added dependencies for libunity, libsignon, libaccounts and libido. The most significant change was the empathy package, I greatly simplified the packaging now that we no longer need to split out GOA and UOA backends. Basically unwinding the work I did back before I left the desktop team.
15:37 <kenvandine> * Spent a little time trying to figure out the lack of window border bug in gnome-shell with our theme, but didn't make any progress.
15:37 <kenvandine> EOF
15:37 * Trevinho officially off, but I'll be with you.... ALTHOUGH LANEY DIDN'T MENTION ME!
15:37 <Laney> haha
15:37 <Laney> kenvandine: the mate-themes are quite good to compare to / borrow from
15:38 <kenvandine> yeah
15:38 <kenvandine> i'll have another look
15:38 <Laney> so if they don't have the problem
15:38 <Laney> you will find the solutin in there :-)
15:38 <kenvandine> i was mostly curious and got distracted with patches
15:38 <kenvandine> but i'll play some more
15:38 <Laney> k
15:38 * andyrock is back
15:38 <Laney> i'll look at empathy in ab it
15:38 <kenvandine> Laney, let me know what you think about my empathy changes
15:38 <kenvandine> and i'll upload it to AA
15:38 <Laney> merci
15:38 <Trevinho> kenvandine: as for the border thing I might have something too
15:39 <Laney> #topic andyrock
15:39 <Laney> hi!
15:39 <kenvandine> Trevinho, i'd love to hear about it after the meeting
15:39 <andyrock> hey!
15:39 <andyrock> so I'm still working on cr
15:39 <andyrock> the patch to support mir should be ready soon
15:39 <andyrock> EOD
15:40 <Laney> andyrock: thanks
15:40 <Laney> #topic jbicha
15:40 <jbicha> Nautilus 3.24.1 in artful. Fixed a regression in .desktop launchers with help from md_eslaur
15:40 <jbicha> Shotwell 3.24.1 in artful-proposed, autopkgtest caught an issue with Debian's ios8 patch. Not sure which is more important: the ios8 issue or the regression caught by the test
15:40 <jbicha> More work on Zesty GNOME 3.24 SRUs
15:40 <jbicha> Fixed gdm LP: #1686257, SRUs in progress
15:40 <ubot5`> Launchpad bug 1686257 in gdm3 (Ubuntu Zesty) "gdm3 fails to start when default session-name=ubuntu" [High,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1686257
15:40 <jbicha> Worked with Ken to upload gnome-shell and -online-accounts without some universe deps for easier main inclusion.
15:40 <jbicha> Switched Shell from Cantarell to Ubuntu font.
15:40 <jbicha> Helped Gunnar with a proposal for how ubuntu-docs can integrate with gnome-user-docs
15:40 <jbicha> gtk4 is now in artful universe
15:40 <jbicha> EOF
15:41 <Laney> nice
15:41 <Laney> did you discuss gtk4 with debian-gnome?
15:42 <Laney> or is it obvious (package names)?
15:42 <jbicha> not yet, the DPL rejected my graphene pkg (required build-dependency)!
15:42 <jbicha> so I'll need to update debian/copyright to make ftpmaster happy
15:43 <Laney> heh
15:43 <jbicha> it's mostly obvious but there are a couple file conflict questions upstream
15:43 <Laney> I know about the schemas and gettext stuff
15:43 <Laney> fortunately they didn't conflict yet afaik so we can share the gtk3 ones
15:44 <jbicha> right
15:44 <Laney> nod
15:44 <Laney> ok, well, happy to review it at Debian like other stuff
15:45 <jbicha> ok
15:45 <Laney> did you see that ubuntu-gnome is failing to build?
15:45 <jbicha> no, but my guess is that's because of the gnome-user-docs conflict stuff
15:45 <Laney> yep
15:45 <Laney> https://launchpadlibrarian.net/317989928/buildlog_ubuntu_artful_amd64_ubuntu-gnome_BUILDING.txt.gz
15:46 <jbicha> thanks, I'll follow up with Gunnar about that
15:46 <Laney> cool
15:46 <Laney> moving on

15:47 <Laney> 🚑
15:47 <oSoMoN> hey
15:47 <oSoMoN> * built chromium-browser 59.0.3071.29 in chromium-next PPA with GTK3 and without GConf
15:47 <oSoMoN> the GTK3 build is affected by https://crbug.com/716135, marked upstream as release blocker
15:47 <oSoMoN> tested native desktop notifications, works well under GNOME shell but not unity7, so can't be turned on by default
15:47 <oSoMoN> * building chromium-browser 60.0.3080.5 in chromium-dev PPA
15:47 <oSoMoN> * looking into existing setup for handling Cr translations, particularly desktop file ones
15:47 <oSoMoN> * working my way through Cr bugs in LP
15:47 <oSoMoN> * getting familiar with the libreoffice build system, playing with the snap made by Bjoern (built a classic snap for starters)
15:47 <oSoMoN> EOF
15:48 <Laney> oSoMoN: thanks, let us know if you need any help
15:49 <Laney> guessing seb128 is out, so
15:49 <oSoMoN> will certainly do
