15:31 <seb128> k, willcooke had the rollcall ;-)
15:31 <dgadomski> hey
15:31 <seb128> willcooke, thanks, I was looking at irclog to copy a previous one
15:31 <Laney> HI!
15:31 <seb128> ok, let's the fun begin
15:31 <FJKong> hi
15:31 <seb128> #topic attente (or not?)
15:31 <seb128> attente, hey
15:32 <attente> hi
15:32 <attente> not much from me, re-factoring some of the menu positioning code in gtk to allow us to pass in attachment rectangles to mir
15:32 <seb128> k, he's here :-)
15:32 <seb128> what's the status of the gtk mir backend?
15:32 <seb128> I didn't look at the version in proposed/the new mir yet, but that has quite some improvements right?
15:33 <attente> it has some bug fixes, but we're still missing big things like clipboard and drag and drop
15:33 <seb128> k
15:33 <seb128> attente, thanks
15:33 <seb128> #topic desrt
15:33 <attente> and right now, the menus aren't positioned properly if they flood off screen, but that's in-progress
15:34 <seb128> k
15:34 <desrt> hey... helping attente a bit with the mirgtk stuff lately
15:34 <seb128> sorry I though you were done with the update
15:34 <desrt> also working on [the secret project]
15:34 <desrt> not a lot of success there...
15:34 <seb128> still the same project?
15:34 <desrt> aside, mostly bug backlog catchup
15:34 <desrt> yes
15:34 <Laney> HAHA
15:34 <seb128> k
15:34 <Laney> how very intriguing
15:34 <desrt> heh
15:35 <seb128> secret project, round 6
15:35 <desrt> there is a branch now
15:35 <desrt> but everything is segfaulting :)
15:35 <seb128> minor detail!
15:35 <desrt> gonna try to spend a couple more days this week on that
15:35 <desrt> that's all
15:35 <seb128> thanks desrt
15:35 <seb128> #topic dgadomski
15:35 <seb128> dgadomski, hey
15:36 <dgadomski> hey
15:36 <dgadomski> I've been mostly trying to drive forward the issues I mentioned last week
15:36 <dgadomski> - identified the cause of bug #1473458, reported upstream (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=752481). I was not able to fix it fully so far, I am counting on upstream suggestions in that area.
15:36 <dgadomski> - kept working on reproducing bug #1297849, no success, but I'm going to backport some upstream commits removing dependency on shell version, which should solve it. I am going to do some tests and discuss it with cyphermox.
15:36 <dgadomski> - upstream developers identified the cause of bug #1464645 to be related to libsmbclient rather than gvfs, reported upstream bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=752481, although a commit backport is required to enable kerberos login instead of anonymous (https://git.gnome.org/browse/gvfs/commit/?id=a0aec32).
15:37 <dgadomski> and that's it
15:37 <seb128> dgadomski, I saw that nm/number of connection bug discuted on debian channel, did you follow the discussion there/talk with them about it?
15:38 <seb128> or is that coincidences they are talking about it as well?
15:38 <dgadomski> seb128: no, I guess it was a coincidence
15:38 <Laney> I bet smcv saw the bug come in
15:38 <seb128> k, I'm going to have a look to the logs after the meeting see if I can give you an useful pointer/info
15:38 <dgadomski> seb128: I will check the irclog about that, do you remember when was that?
15:38 <seb128> Laney, likely yes
15:38 <Laney> oh no
15:39 <Laney> it was one day before :P
15:39 <seb128> dgadomski, jul 15 on #debian-gnome
15:39 <Laney> dgadomski: there was no real discussion, just someone asking why the limit was raised
15:39 <seb128> not sure if that channel has IRC logs?
15:39 <seb128> juil. 15 12:11:27 <smcv>	mbiebl: I think it's madness to have random daemons unilaterally changing the system bus' global limits
15:39 <Laney> but the other guy didn't reply
15:40 <seb128> Laney, ^ that one?
15:40 <Laney> y
15:40 <Laney> a
15:40 <seb128> I don't have the start of the discussion
15:40 <seb128> what daemon are they talking about?
15:40 <Laney> nm
15:40 <seb128> k, so today nm already change the limit?
15:40 <seb128> or they were talking about doing that as a fix for dgadomski's mentioned issue?
15:40 <Laney> yes probably for this issue
15:40 <Laney> but any number can be too low I guess
15:41 <Laney> if you have more connections than that
15:41 <seb128> right
15:41 <seb128> let's check debian bugs report after the meeting
15:41 <seb128> dgadomski, thanks
15:41 <Laney> so retrying seems sensible
