rar unrar a non-free archive format created by Rarsoft. For instructions on accessing .rar files through the Archive Manager view https://help.ubuntu.…mpression. There is a free (as in speech) unrar utility as well, see !info unrar-free Spec

reiserfs reiser a journalling file system, which outperforms many others on I/O operations, but has drawbacks (such as increasing likelihood of data loss, and introducing latency unsuitable for gaming or real-time audio).
